Amy Wawn
Amy Wawn was learning piano while growing up in her hometown Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, practising violin while studying in Cape Town, South Africa, playing guitar while travelling around Europe, eventually settling down, singing in London. Today Camden Town’s ambient night sounds are filled with Amy’s ravishing yet sorrowful voice with delectable and intricate lyrics, sophisticated rifts and smooth guitar strokes. From Amy Wawn, solo artist to Amy & The Calamities, a trio with percussionist Nigel Mzingaye and electric guitarist Jonathan Wise. Amy & The Calamities has released the extended long play “The Suspects” February 2018: a collaboration with gifted violinist Georgina Leech including songs like Bless, No Advice and Now That I Know This.
Mark Pratt
Born in Leeds, Mark’s solo guitar is the reason you’ll stay all night listening to his melancholic blue rock style masquerading a deep powerful voice with intricate lyrics so energetic it feels like a whole band. Mark has been busy performing at gigs and on radio, signing up with Ajar Records, releasing his debut album on March 18th, “Mark Pratt” which includes Back In Indiana, I Was Made For Loving You and Miners On The Run.
Tim Brooks
Blending the worlds of Frank Turner, Bruce Springsteen and Gerard Way together, Tim Brooks walks the line between acoustic intimacy, and straight up rock and roll passion. Raised on a musical diet of rock and roll grit, Tim Brooks has developed a songwriting style that is both hook laden, but also packed full of lyrical nods and quirky references, all belted out via raspy, rock vocals. Tim Brooks has played some of the capital's best small venues, such as The Bedford and The Fiddler's Elbow and the Half Moon, has performed at prestigious festivals such as Stone Free at the O2 arena, and has performed internationally in mainland Europe. In September, Tim Brooks had his greatest achievement yet, supporting Will Varley in his show in Poznan. He is releasing his new single Trouble Will Find Me on the 9th November.
Benjamin Yellowitz
Born in the industrial city of Birmingham, he lives and creates in a warehouse in London. Benjamin Yellowitz fuses gritty, bluesy vocals, energetic guitar-percussion and dark production - he paints a wonderfully hedonistic picture of his life. Yellowitz featured on several BBC Introducing Sessions, as well as achieving considerable critical acclaim in the press with BBC Radio describing his performances as: ‘Compelling, emotive and energetic’. His reputation has been pushed further by online support from well-respected acts; Ben Howard, Fink and Coldplay. After spending a large part of the last few years touring the UK and Europe, Benjamin releases his debut album in September 2018. This is an album of the night that will take you on a journey through delusion and all the creatures you fall in love with along the way.
